The Rev. Dr. Pamela Anderson
Interim Pastor
The Rev. Dr. Pamela Anderson has been a PC(USA) teaching elder for the last 32 years. She has served churches throughout California, New Jersey and Australia. She has been an international preacher, teacher and professor of religion for the University of Phoenix. Additionally, she is an activist and has been an organizer for the state of California with the Poor People’s Campaign. In previous years she was the Moderator of the Sacramento Presbytery, the Chair of Council, the Chair of the Pastoral Support Committee for ten years where she created, supported and led preaching conferences at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center. She is married to Marc, and they have a daughter by the name of “Charlie” and a dog named STELLA! Pamela is active with the Burning Man community, the LGBTQIA+ community in Sacramento and San Francisco and serves on the Board of Directors for More Light Presbyterians.

Michelle Adelsheim
Director, Lakeside Children’s Center
Michelle Adelsheim, known as “Mrs. A” around school, has been at Lakeside Presbyterian Center for Children since August 2007, serving in various capacities until 2018 when she took on the role of the Executive Director. She is a San Francisco Bay Area native and attended public school in San Francisco and Daly City. She graduated from San Francisco State University where she studied Business Management and Child Development. In addition to her work at Lakeside, Michelle also serves as a Professional Growth Advisor to teachers in the Bay Area. In 2016, Michelle was awarded the Innovative Teacher Award by the Innovative Teacher Project and has had her students’ work displayed at the Asian Art Museum. Michelle is a practicing Catholic, and enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Michael, and their children, Noah and Haley.

Cindy Young
Assistant Music Director/Director of Children’s Music
Cindy began her classroom teaching career right here at Lakeside and was quickly recruited into the music programs for children and adults. A San Francisco native, she graduated from Lowell High and SFSU (BA/Psychology, Lifetime Teaching Credential) with post-graduate training in Children’s Music from UC Santa Cruz and under a series of wonderful mentors including Jack Pereira, Jim Groves, Sandra Soderlund Bielawa, and Norma Levister. A founding member of the San Francisco chapter of Choristers’ Guild, she was also a member of the Old First Presbyterian Chamber Orchestra and the SF Children’s Opera Orchestra. In addition to participating in all of the choral and handbell programs at Lakeside Church as performer, assistant director/director, and interim Director of Music, she also developed and led children’s summer music programs at Lutheran Church of Our Savior and for the US Navy Special Services at Treasure Island (both in San Francisco) and was founding Handbell Director for Chinese Grace Church, SF. Cindy lives in Pacifica and when not busy with church and family activities enjoys restoring and collecting antique dolls and building dollhouses.

Jinlu Lei
Bookkeeper
Jinlu Lei joined the staff at Lakeside Presbyterian after earning her Master’s in Accounting at Golden Gate University. She lives with her family in San Francisco. In her free time, Jinlu enjoys playing with her son and cooking for her family.

Dan Anderson
Assistant Organist
Dan studied at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana—a school affiliated with the Presbyterian, Methodist, and United Church of Christ traditions. On a whim he moved to San Francisco in October 1981. A dedicated musician, for the past 52 years, Dan’s personal journey has been learning to play the organ with panache and delight.

Gee Roman
Office Administrator
Gee Roman is a San Francisco native and proud graduate of Lowell High School and San Francisco State University. She holds a Master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California. With decades of experience in marketing, brand and project management, and office administration, Gee brings warmth and joy to every endeavor. A lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy, she spends her free time teaching and playing adventurous board games at local conventions.
